Erdogan Congratulates Kosovo: Turkey to Continue Supporting Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a congratulatory message to Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani on the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.

In the letter, published by President Osmani on social media, Erdogan extended his warmest wishes to both President Osmani and the people of Kosovo, on behalf of himself and the Turkish nation.

He emphasized that the special relations between Turkey and Kosovo, grounded in strong historical, cultural, human, and economic ties, will continue to be strengthened based on mutual respect and trust.

Erdogan recalled that Turkey was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence and underscored that Ankara will continue to support the preservation of Kosovo’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while enhancing its international standing.

The Turkish President also highlighted Turkey’s role in the NATO mission in Kosovo, noting that Turkey’s second command of the KFOR mission will contribute to peace and stability in the region.

Finally, Erdogan invited President Osmani to participate in the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, scheduled for April 17–19.
