Poland has prohibited Chinese-made vehicles from entering military zones due to concerns that their sensors could be used to collect sensitive data, the Polish military announced on February 17, 2026, according to Reuters.
The military stated that such vehicles may still be allowed in secure areas if their specific functions and required security measures comply with national safety regulations.
“To limit the risk of exposing confidential information, the military has also banned connecting mobile phones to information systems in Chinese-made vehicles,” the statement said.
The restrictions do not apply to military locations with public access, such as hospitals, clinics, libraries, prosecutors’ offices, and garrison clubs.
The Polish military emphasized that these measures are precautionary steps and are not linked to practices used by NATO members or other allies to maintain high standards of defense infrastructure protection.
