Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is in the United States this week, following his participation yesterday at the Peace Board. On Thursday, he attended a high-level discussion at the Atlantic Council, one of Washington’s leading strategic policy organizations.

During the roundtable, Rama was accompanied by Vlora Hyseni, head of Albania’s intelligence service (SHISH). The event also included prominent former U.S. officials, including Philip Reeker, Christopher Hill, Daniel Fried, Edward Joseph, and Thomas Contryman, all of whom have held senior positions at the U.S. State Department.

Rama highlighted Albania’s evolving international profile and regional priorities. “At the Atlantic Council roundtable, which attracted strong interest in Albania, we discussed our new international profile, perspectives on the Peace Board, ongoing regional conflicts, and the path toward European Union integration,” Rama wrote on social media.

The discussions underscored Albania’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with the United States and advancing its role in European security and integration efforts.
