Former royal Prince Andrew reportedly reacted angrily when he was told he had to leave Royal Lodge, saying: “I am the second son of the Queen, you can’t do this to me.”

According to media reports, the decision came amid renewed scrutiny over his past ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The move is said to have taken place in early February, when Andrew was required to leave the 30-room residence in Windsor where he had long paid only a symbolic rent.

Reports indicate that King Charles III was particularly concerned about ongoing revelations connected to his brother’s association with Epstein. Despite this, Andrew allegedly resisted leaving the residence and opposed relocating to Wood Farm, located on the Sandringham Estate, where he is now believed to be staying.

Just days before the decision, he had been photographed smiling and greeting members of the public while riding on horseback—an image that British media claimed became “the final straw” for royal aides who were pushing for his departure from Royal Lodge.

Sources quoted in British tabloids say Andrew refused to accept responsibility and repeatedly invoked his status as the son of the late Queen, Queen Elizabeth II, during the confrontation.

Prince Andrew was widely known as one of the favorite sons of the late monarch and had been living at the property with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
