China has urged renewed dialogue with the United States after the Supreme Court of the United States struck down part of the tariffs imposed by the U.S. administration during the global trade dispute.

China’s Ministry of Commerce said it is conducting a comprehensive assessment of the ruling and called on Washington to remove unilateral tariff measures, stressing that cooperation between the two major economies is in their mutual interest.

In its response, Beijing warned that trade conflicts are harmful to both China and the United States, emphasizing the need for constructive engagement rather than escalation.

The tariff issue is also expected to be a key topic during a planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the end of March, where trade relations and economic tensions are likely to be discussed.
