A court hearing for the second case involving former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi will take place on Friday in The Hague.
In this second case, Thaçi, together with Bashkim Smakaj, Isni Kilaj, Fadil Fazliu, and Hajredin Kuçi, is charged with obstruction of justice.
The indictments against Kilaj, Smakaj, Fazliu, and Kuçi were confirmed on December 5 and 6, 2024.
Kuçi was granted release pending trial, while Kilaj, Smakaj, and Fazliu remained in pre-trial detention until February of this year. They will now defend themselves while at liberty.
All defendants have pleaded not guilty.
Friday’s hearing is scheduled to begin at 09:30 a.m.
