Peter Sorensen Meets Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade

The European Union’s Special Representative for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Peter Sorensen, met today with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Serbian media report.

As previously announced, the meeting began at 08:30 a.m. at the General Secretariat building of the Serbian Presidency in Belgrade. Sorensen last visited Belgrade in mid-January, and on February 11 his mandate was extended for another two years, until February 29, 2028.

Prior to his visit to Belgrade, Sorensen was in Pristina, where he held talks with Kosovo’s new chief negotiator, Glauk Konjufca, who also serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

During the meeting, Kurti emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to the normalization of relations with Belgrade.

“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to the full normalization of relations with Serbia through mutual recognition,” the statement from Kurti’s office said.
