Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, stated that the only path to normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia is through dialogue.
Speaking at a press conference after meeting her counterpart Glauk Konjufca, Spiropali emphasized that normalization cannot happen by denying Kosovo’s reality, and Serbia must accept this reality.
“Our stance on the dialogue with Serbia is clear and unwavering. Dialogue remains the path for a sustainable solution and long-term stability in the region. But stability cannot be built on denial. The reality is that Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state, and mutual recognition is the only solid foundation for a healthy relationship between the two countries,” she said.
“Serbia must come to terms with this reality. This agreement should ultimately open the way for Kosovo’s full membership in the United Nations and other international organizations. On this path, Albania will continue to strongly support Kosovo with determination, full coordination, and complete clarity,” Spiropali concluded.
