The Presidency of Kosovo announced details from a meeting between President Vjosa Osmani and Albania’s Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali, highlighting discussions on deeper cooperation and international engagement between the two countries.

According to the statement, Kosovo–Albania relations were described as brotherly, strategic, natural, and irreplaceable, reflecting the close political and diplomatic ties between the neighboring states.

A key topic of the meeting was the participation of Kosovo and Albania as founding members of the Peace Board, a platform officials say is expected to strengthen cooperation with United States and other global strategic partners. The Presidency noted that involvement in this initiative could raise the international profile of both countries and enhance their role as contributors to global peace and security.

Coordination on International Recognition and Memberships

The discussion also addressed continued diplomatic coordination aimed at securing new international recognitions for Kosovo and strengthening cooperation within major international organizations. Among those mentioned were NATO and the Council of Europe, alongside other multilateral bodies.

Officials emphasized that joint diplomatic efforts between Kosovo and Albania remain essential for advancing regional cooperation and expanding international partnerships in the coming period.
