Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), met today with Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali to discuss developments in Kosovo, Albania, and the wider region, as well as issues of security and Euro-Atlantic integration, with a focus on Kosovo’s NATO membership aspirations.
Haradinaj emphasized that strengthening bilateral relations between Kosovo and Albania remains a strategic priority, while expressing gratitude to the Albanian government, led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, for its continued support to Kosovar liberation figures facing justice in The Hague.
“I was pleased to welcome Minister Elisa Spiropali. During our discussion, I highlighted the Albanian government’s commitment to matters of importance for Kosovo. We discussed current developments in Kosovo, Albania, and the region, as well as upcoming processes, particularly those related to security and integration, with our strategic goal of NATO membership. Strengthening bilateral ties between Kosovo and Albania remains a permanent priority. Integration among Albanians is a national necessity and a guarantee for our secure future. I expressed gratitude for the care and dedication of the Albanian government toward the liberation figures facing justice in The Hague,” Haradinaj wrote on Facebook.
The meeting underlines ongoing Kosovo–Albania coordination on security, diplomatic support, and regional cooperation, reflecting the importance of institutional collaboration in advancing Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path.
