Kosovo has been ranked among the countries with the highest level of security in the Western Balkans, according to the regional report “SecuriMeter 2025” published by the Regional Cooperation Council.
According to the Ministria e Punëve të Brendshme e Kosovës (Ministry of Internal Affairs), 64% of citizens state that they feel safe, positioning Kosovo as the country with the highest perception of personal security in the region. The report also highlights a high level of trust in institutions, with 70.6% expressing trust in the police and 74.6% in the army.
Additionally, 58.4% of citizens consider Kosovo a safe place to live, while 80.5% say they have no plans to emigrate. The report further emphasizes strong support for Euro-Atlantic integration, with 71% in favor of European Union membership and 90.8% supporting NATO membership.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs described these findings as evidence of progress in the areas of security, rule of law, and public trust in domestic institutions.
