At least 10 employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) involved in the investigation led by Special Counsel Jack Smith into former U.S. President Donald Trump have been dismissed from their positions, U.S. media report.

According to reports, the dismissals follow allegations that phone data of the current FBI Director, Kash Patel, and White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, were collected during a period when they did not yet hold these positions.
