Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca met today with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Hargreaves.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the ambassador congratulated Konjufca on his new mandate and “reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to close cooperation with the Republic of Kosovo.”
“During the meeting, bilateral relations and the deepening of cooperation in areas of mutual interest were discussed, as well as current geopolitical developments and the importance of maintaining stability and security in the Western Balkans,” the statement reads.
It was also noted that both sides reaffirmed “shared positions in support of Ukraine and opposition to Russian aggression,” and emphasized the need for ongoing coordination in foreign policy and security matters.
“The Republic of Kosovo remains grateful for the enduring partnership and continued support of the United Kingdom,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
