Bosniak MP Emilija Rexhepi has stated that she will support any candidate for President of Kosovo proposed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, highlighting the decisive role of the multiethnic parliamentary group in the process.
She noted that six days remain until the deadline for proposing a presidential candidate and emphasized that her support will go to whomever Kurti puts forward.
“I will vote for the candidate proposed by Prime Minister Kurti,” Rexhepi said.
According to her, the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) currently holds 57 seats in the Assembly, while the multiethnic group consists of nine MPs whose votes are crucial in electing the president.
“VV has 57 votes. We, as the multiethnic group, are nine. Without us, it is impossible for any other candidate to be elected,” Rexhepi told FrontOnline.
