A U.S. Navy service support center linked to the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain has been targeted in a missile attack, according to a statement from the country’s National Communication Centre cited by the state news agency.

The facility supports the United States Fifth Fleet, which is headquartered in Bahrain and oversees operations across the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean.

Authorities confirmed that the site was “the object of a missile attack,” but did not immediately attribute the strike to any country or group. Officials said that further details will be released at a later time.

Residents were urged to follow official guidance and rely only on verified information from government sources as the situation develops.

So far, there has been no immediate comment from the U.S. military, although the Embassy of the United States in Bahrain had earlier warned American citizens to remain in safe locations due to reported threats involving missiles and drones over the country.

Bahrain hosts the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, a key strategic command responsible for maritime security and military operations across major waterways in the Middle East.
