French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council following the latest military escalation involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

In a statement posted on X, Macron said that France is formally requesting an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council, warning that the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous.

“The ongoing escalation is dangerous for everyone. It must stop,” Macron said, stressing that a broader conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran could have serious consequences for international peace and security.

The French president also stated that France is prepared to deploy the necessary resources to protect its closest partners if requested, adding that he is maintaining close contact with European allies and partners in the Middle East.

France maintains several military bases in the region, including in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Jordan—countries that have reportedly been targeted by Iranian missile attacks during the latest developments.
