The session of the Kuvendi i Kosovës for the election of the President has been scheduled for 19:00, Gazeta Express has learned.
Earlier today, parliamentary groups of political parties held meetings regarding the presidential issue, as the final hours approach to conclude this constitutional process.
Lëvizja Vetëvendosje, the largest parliamentary party, has not yet officially proposed a candidate for the post. Party officials avoided media questions throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Bedri Hamza, leader of Partia Demokratike e Kosovës, stated that his party will not present a presidential candidate without a prior agreement.
Talks between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Lumir Abdixhiku, head of Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës, concluded yesterday without an agreement.
If the President is not elected within the constitutional deadline, the country will head to early elections.
