Estonian Member of the European Parliament, Riho Terras, has described the failure of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo to elect a new head of state as a “disappointment,” warning that the country may face a new period of political uncertainty.
The Assembly of Kosovo failed to elect the country’s new president due to the lack of the necessary quorum for voting during Thursday’s session.
Through a post on the social media platform X, Terras reacted to the situation, emphasizing that this represents a step backward for the country’s stability.
“The Assembly of Kosovo failed to elect the president. It is a serious setback. Instead of stability, the country faces new political uncertainty. Truly disappointing,” Terras wrote.
