NATO has confirmed that it intercepted another missile heading toward Turkey, reaffirming the alliance’s readiness to defend its member states against any threat.

NATO spokesperson Allison Hart wrote on X that the alliance remains fully prepared to protect all allies.

“NATO has once again intercepted a missile that was heading toward Turkey. The alliance remains steadfast in its readiness to defend all allies against any threat,” Hart stated.

Earlier, the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey announced that another Iranian ballistic missile was shot down as it entered Turkish airspace.

According to the ministry, the missile was neutralized by NATO air defense systems operating in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Authorities said debris from the missile fell in an uninhabited area near Gaziantep, causing no reported casualties.

This marks the second such interception in recent days, after NATO forces in the Eastern Mediterranean last week also intercepted a suspected Iranian missile heading toward Turkey.
