Full statement:
“On the sidelines of BEDEX 2026, I had a very fruitful meeting with my friend, the Belgian Minister of Defense, Theo Francken.
We discussed deepening cooperation between Kosovo and Belgium in defense and security, with a particular focus on developing the defense industry, increasing military collaboration through joint training, and opportunities for officer exchanges to enhance their education and professional development.
An important step in this direction is the accreditation of Kosovo’s Defense Attaché in Belgium, which is expected to be officially formalized soon and will directly contribute to strengthening our institutional and military cooperation.
Kosovo is building strong partnerships with our allies and is advancing resolutely toward enhancing defense capabilities and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Together with our allies, we aim for greater security, stability, and development.”
