German Ambassador Meets Maqedonci, Highlights €3 Million German Support for Five KSF Projects

The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, met with the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.

“Germany continues to stand side by side with Kosovo in strengthening security and resilience,” the German Embassy stated in a Facebook post.

During the meeting, it was noted that the ambassador “emphasized Germany’s ongoing support through the Enable and Enhance initiative with €3 million in 2026 for five key projects.”

“These projects focus on strengthening medical services, logistics, and firefighting capacities within the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) tangible contributions that enhance operational readiness and institutional development. The meeting also included Germany’s continued assistance in military training: Kosovar cadets currently undergoing language training in Germany will continue their officer education in line with NATO standards — an investment in the next generation of FSK leadership,” the Embassy said.

“In addition, the bilateral program for 2026 foresees a wide range of joint activities, including expert exchanges and training in logistics, military policing, and officer education. Germany has been a reliable partner for the FSK since its inception and remains committed to deepening this cooperation and supporting Kosovo on its path toward Euro-Atlantic integration,” the statement added.
