A plenary session of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo took place today, featuring significant political debates and key agenda items. The session began with about a one-hour delay originally scheduled for 10:00 AM but starting around 11:00 AM reflecting tensions and disagreements among parliamentary groups.
The session opened with a commemoration of the 1981 spring demonstrations, honoring the sacrifices of Albanian students during that period.
During today’s session, important issues were discussed, including draft resolutions, international agreements, and procedural debates:
🔹 PDK proposed a draft resolution on the protection of truth and war victims, an initiative aimed at strengthening parliamentary support for victims and their remembrance.

🔹 Nagavci (VV) stated that Vetëvendosje is ready to contribute to a resolution protecting war victims, seeking broad support for the initiative.

🔹 During the debate, PDK left the chamber after the proposed draft resolution was not approved as the first agenda item, further escalating tensions in the Assembly.

🔹 Nagavci proposed adding four new points to the agenda, but LDK opposed the proposal, sparking debates on how to manage the agenda and parliamentary procedures.
🔹 Another debate point was raised by Besnik Tahiri, who criticized that the private sector was excluded from the 13th salary, calling it unfair for workers outside the public sector.

The agenda also included the review of several international agreements expected to be ratified by the Assembly, along with other legal and procedural matters.
Today’s session highlighted high levels of political debate, with a special focus on draft resolutions for war victims, procedural issues, and tensions between parliamentary groups regarding the organization of Assembly work.
