The Assembly of Kosovo today approved the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement on Access to Higher Education and Admission to Studies in the Western Balkans.
Minister of Education Hajrulla Çeku stated that the agreement will facilitate access to higher education and help students advance academically.
According to him, the agreement предусматриes easier study access, accommodation opportunities, and scholarships for students across the region.
The parliamentary committee assessed the draft law as important and recommended its approval. The agreement also received support from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Multietnic Group, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.
In the end, the agreement was adopted with 81 votes in favor, marking a step forward in regional educational cooperation in the Western Balkans.
