A high-level delegation from the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), led by Governor Ahmet Ismaili, is participating in the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) in Washington, DC.
The delegation also includes non-executive board member Latifi-Jashari, Deputy Governor Fusha, and other officials.
According to the CBK, the meetings—taking place from April 13 to 18—bring together central bank governors, finance ministers, development officials, private sector leaders, civil society representatives, and academics to discuss global economic trends, financial stability, development challenges, and poverty reduction.
During the visit, CBK representatives are expected to hold meetings with senior officials from the IMF and the World Bank, focusing on recent macroeconomic and financial developments, the global economic outlook, and implications for financial stability and policymaking.
The agenda also includes bilateral meetings with officials from the U.S. Treasury Department, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and partner central banks and financial institutions. These discussions aim to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest and support ongoing institutional reforms in Kosovo’s financial sector.
CBK officials will also present updates on Kosovo’s financial system, institutional priorities, reform progress, technical assistance outcomes, and upcoming strategic projects.
