Albania’s Defense Minister meets NATO official in Brussels, discusses Kosovo and KFOR’s role

Albania’s Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, met with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, in Brussels. According to the ministry, the meeting aimed to strengthen strategic dialogue and deepen Albania’s cooperation with NATO at all levels.

It is also reported that special attention was given to Kosovo and the role of KFOR in ensuring stability and peace.

“The strategic role of Corridor VIII and the development of Porto Romano, with continued support from the Alliance, are important for advancing projects of national and regional significance,” the statement added.

In a social media post, the ministry emphasized that the meeting in Brussels reflects Albania’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its role within NATO in the service of peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
