Prime Minister and leader of the Albin Kurti has arrived at the Kosovo Assembly for a meeting with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku to discuss the election of the President in Kosovo.
With only nine days remaining until the constitutional deadline to elect the head of state, Kurti said he would comment only after the talks conclude.
“We will speak after the meeting. First we will talk in the meeting and then we will inform you about the results,” he said.
This is the second meeting between Kurti and Abdixhiku following a Constitutional Court ruling that sets April 28 as the final deadline for electing the President. If the deadline is missed, the country would automatically head to early elections.
