Kosovo Parliament Adopts Resolution on Preševo Valley Albanians, Haxhiu Calls It a “Significant Step”

The Assembly of Kosovo has adopted a resolution on advancing institutional care for the Albanian communities in Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac, according to acting President and Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu.

In a Facebook post, Haxhiu said the resolution represents an important step in Kosovo’s institutional commitment toward Albanians in the region, aiming to strengthen support for their rights, dignity and wellbeing in line with European standards.

She stated that the decision reflects ongoing efforts to remain close to these communities and to deepen cooperation in areas of development, equality and social integration.

Haxhiu added that the resolution sends a clear message of solidarity and state responsibility toward Albanians living in the Preševo Valley, emphasizing Kosovo’s intention to continue supporting their institutional and social advancement.
