Kosovo’s tourism sector continues its upward trend in 2026, with official data showing a significant increase in both domestic and international visitors during March.
According to the latest statistics, hotels across Kosovo hosted 46,649 visitors during March 2026, marking a 15.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025, when 40,239 visitors were registered.
Out of the total number, 19,180 were domestic visitors, while 27,469 were foreign tourists, indicating growing international interest in Kosovo as a travel destination.
The number of overnight stays also reached high levels. During March, hotels recorded a total of 94,804 overnight stays. More than 52,226 overnight stays — or 55% — were made by foreign visitors, while around 42,578 were from local visitors.
Foreign visitors increased by 9.1% compared to March 2025.
According to the statistics, the largest number of foreign tourists visiting Kosovo came from Albania, Germany, Türkiye, and Switzerland. These countries continue to represent the main sources of international visitors, reflecting strong family, economic, and cultural ties, as well as growing interest in tourism in Kosovo.
The latest figures further highlight Kosovo’s expanding tourism potential and the increasing visibility of the country as a destination in the Western Balkans.
