Thaçi vows to advance Judicial Council policies

The newly elected Chair of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), Rrustem Thaçi, has pledged to ensure an independent, impartial, and transparent judiciary with high integrity standards.

Thaçi was elected to the position today with a total of six votes.

“I pledge that we will be open to cooperation, first of all to address all challenges and to advance the Council’s policies toward an independent, impartial, integrity-based and transparent judiciary,” he said.

In the same meeting, the Kosovo Judicial Council also appointed Vjollca Cenaj as Administrator of the Supreme Court for a four-year term with the possibility of extension, and Afrim Shala as Commissioner for Interceptions.
