Skenderaj Announces Funeral Ceremony Schedule for KLA Commander Sahit Jashari

The Municipality of Skenderaj has informed the public regarding the funeral ceremony of Kosovo Liberation Army Commander Sahit Jashari, who has recently passed away.

According to the official announcement, the funeral ceremony will be held under the patronage of the Mayor of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, while the commemorative activities will be organized by the Municipality of Skenderaj in cooperation with the Jashari family.

The public homage to the coffin will take place on 12 June 2026, from 11:30 to 14:00, at the “Ilaz Kodra” sports hall in Skenderaj.

On the same day, starting at 14:00, a commemorative session dedicated to the life and legacy of the deceased will also be held at the “Ilaz Kodra” sports hall.

The funeral ceremony will take place on 12 June 2026 at 16:00, at the cemetery of the Jashari neighbourhood in Prekaz.

Meanwhile, condolences for the family will be held on 13 and 14 June 2026, from 08:00 to 16:00, at the “Ilaz Kodra” sports hall in Skenderaj.

In its announcement, the Municipality of Skenderaj expressed its deepest condolences to the Jashari family, friends, comrades-in-arms, and all those who knew and valued the life and legacy of Sahit Jashari.

“In these difficult moments, on behalf of the citizens of Skenderaj, we extend our sincere condolences to the Jashari family, friends, comrades-in-arms, and all those who knew and respected the life and work of the late Sahit Jashari,” the statement reads.
