Soldiers assigned to the Regional Command-East (RC-E) of the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted an airborne response exercise near Camp Bondsteel, strengthening multinational medical coordination and rapid response capabilities across the mission’s area of operations.
The exercise brought together aviation personnel, flight medics, and role players to rehearse casualty response, medical treatment, and evacuation procedures, while improving interoperability between KFOR units and ensuring personnel remain prepared to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies.
According to KFOR, such exercises allow its personnel to maintain situational awareness, operational readiness, and the skills required to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to carry out its mandate based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), contributing to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo.
The NATO-led mission also continues close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), each acting within their respective security responsibilities.
