Russian President Vladimir Putin has lost more than 1,200 troops in just 24 hours, marking the deadliest day for Russia in its war with Ukraine.
Reportedly, the spike in casualties comes after Western countries, including the U.S., authorized Ukraine to attack within Russia using their weapons.
The Ukrainian General Staff has also confirmed that the Russian military lost around 1,270 troops in the past 24 hours, according to The Sun.
Additionally, the Ukrainian military destroyed 14 Russian tanks, 22 armored personnel carriers, and 47 artillery systems.
The British Ministry of Defense has also confirmed this as the deadliest day for Russia, adding that the total number of Russian casualties since the start of the war has exceeded 500,000.
Ukraine has now announced that it has stabilized the front lines despite the difficulties.
Meanwhile, as Russia continued its attacks on Kharkiv, U.S. President Joe Biden granted Ukraine permission to attack within Russian territory using American weapons.
This decision was not well received by Putin, who threatened full-scale war if Ukraine uses Western weapons to strike Russia.
