The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced a temporary weekend road closure on the Brezovica-Prevalla segment to accommodate the upcoming mountain car racing championship, “Brezovica 2026”.
The traffic restrictions will affect all standard transit through the scenic mountain pass on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Closure Schedule and Race Details
The road will be completely closed to regular public traffic during specific daytime intervals over the weekend. Drivers are urged to adjust their travel itineraries accordingly.
- Closure Windows: Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Saturday, July 18: Dedicated entirely to the official practice and training sessions for the drivers.
- Sunday, July 19: The official championship race organized by the Federation of Auto Sports of Kosovo (FASK).
Safety Measures and Traffic Coordination
To guarantee the safety of both the high-speed competitors and local spectators, race organizers are coordinating directly with the Kosovo Police and local municipal transit authorities.
