Members of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) have actively participated in the high-level “European Partnership Flight” conference, an international military aviation event organized by the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE).

The strategic engagement was confirmed by Kosovo’s Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, who emphasized that the joint operation aims to tighten Euro-Atlantic defense ties and upgrade regional military aviation capabilities.

Strategic Training and Operational Exchange

The USAFE-led conference served as an intensive professional development platform, bringing together allied nations from across the continent to synchronize modern aerial strategies.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the FSK delegation engaged in several key defense-building tracks:

  • Professional Seminars: Participating in advanced lectures focusing on modern air operations, logistical readiness, and tactical response.
  • Thematic Workshops: Exchanging real-world best practices and specialized military expertise alongside Western partners.
  • Interoperability Goals: Streamlining collaborative operational frameworks to ensure smooth joint-force integration during potential regional security crises.

Field Mission: Inspecting NATO’s Upgraded Kuçova Air Base

As a core component of the military itinerary, the international delegation conducted an official site visit to the Kuçova Air Base in the Republic of Albania.

The visit carried significant geopolitical weight, given that Kuçova was recently retrofitted and transformed into a state-of-the-art NATO tactical air base, serving as a major security hub for the Western Balkans. FSK personnel inspected the base’s upgraded infrastructure, familiarized themselves with its strategic defense capacities, and engaged in professional networking designed to cement cross-border military partnerships.

“The participation of the FSK in this conference is clear proof of our continuous commitment to elevating our professional capabilities, expanding our interoperability, and deepening ties with our strategic partners. We are focused on building a modern force fully capable of contributing to both regional and international security.”
