A powerful storm caused damage in the Municipality of Suharekë on Tuesday as severe weather swept across parts of Kosovo.
Suharekë Mayor Bali Muharremaj shared photographs of the damage on social media, providing an initial look at the impact of the storm. Authorities have not yet released an official assessment of the extent of the damage.
Earlier in the day, meteorological authorities warned that Kosovo would experience unstable weather conditions, with the European Storm Forecast Experiment (ESTOFEX) issuing a Level 3 alert—the highest level of severe weather risk—for Kosovo and parts of the surrounding region.
According to the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute, the country was expected to face intense rainfall, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds throughout the day.
As of 5:00 p.m. local time, no significant storm-related damage had been officially reported from other municipalities across Kosovo.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and have urged citizens to exercise caution as severe weather conditions persist.
