Kosovo’s Ministry of Defense is continuing efforts to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) through a €3 million infrastructure investment that will fund the construction of new facilities at military barracks in Gjilan, Gjakova and Istog.
The project is scheduled to be implemented over a three-year period and forms part of the ministry’s broader strategy to modernize military infrastructure and enhance the readiness of the KSF.
According to the ministry, the new facilities are intended to improve the force’s operational capabilities while providing better working and service conditions for military personnel stationed at the three barracks.
The investment reflects Kosovo’s ongoing efforts to expand and upgrade its defense infrastructure in line with long-term objectives aimed at strengthening the professionalism, preparedness and institutional development of the Kosovo Security Force.
The infrastructure project is part of a wider modernization program as Kosovo continues investing in the development of its defense capabilities and military readiness.
