Exit polls released after polling stations closed in Israel indicate that the parliamentary elections held on October 27 have produced no clear winner, with neither of the two main political blocs projected to secure the majority needed to form a government.

According to projections by Israeli television networks, the opposition bloc seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to win between 52 and 53 seats in the Knesset, while the bloc supporting Netanyahu is projected to secure approximately 50 seats.

Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, has 120 seats, and at least 61 are required to secure a parliamentary majority.

Arab parties could play a decisive role.

One of the most significant findings in the exit polls is the projected increase in representation for Arab parties. The Joint List and the Ra’am party are projected to win a combined 17 to 18 seats, potentially making them influential players in negotiations over the formation of the next government.
