The Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) has strongly condemned hate speech and direct threats against Ramush Haradinaj, former commander of the Dukagjin Operational Zone.
In its statement, the organization said that public calls for violence constitute criminal acts that threaten public security, constitutional order and the values upon which Kosovo’s freedom and statehood were built.
OVL-UÇK praised the Kosovo Police and Prosecutor’s Office for swiftly identifying and arresting the suspect, stressing that the case must now be followed by an equally firm legal process without room for compromise.
“Every such threat must face the full force of the law,” the organization stated.
It warned that hesitation in such cases could create a dangerous precedent and encourage those seeking to undermine Kosovo’s stability. OVL-UÇK emphasized that threats against those who fought for Kosovo’s freedom must not be tolerated and called for the suspect to be held fully accountable under the law.
