Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined the results of his latest meeting with the country’s military leadership.
He said the “key issue” discussed during the meeting was securing the funding needed for Ukraine’s defense and security forces throughout the autumn and winter period.
“We identified the key shortfalls and additional needs for developing more innovative and technologically advanced types of weapons, accelerating the production of our strike capabilities and new defensive weapons, including jet-powered interceptors.”
Zelensky also said that Ukrainian intelligence agencies had provided updated information regarding Russia’s plans, adding:
“We are preparing countermeasures and our asymmetric responses.”
