A significant development has emerged from the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague during the hearing for the verdict in the case against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
According to the court’s findings announced during the proceedings, no war crimes were found to have been committed after June 20, 1999.
The development means that the charge of crimes against humanity does not stand against any of the four former KLA leaders in relation to conduct after that date.
The hearing on the verdict against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi is continuing in The Hague.
