Albania’s Council of Ministers has approved the participation of the country’s Armed Forces in the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) mission in Kosovo.
Under the decision, Albania will contribute 17 military personnel and one helicopter to the international security operation.
The decision provides for the continuation of Albania’s contribution to KFOR, which has been deployed in Kosovo as part of the international security presence established under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
Albania is among the countries contributing personnel to KFOR, which is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in Kosovo.
The latest decision extends Albania’s military contribution to the NATO-led mission.
