The storm has flooded roads and caused damage in various parts of Germany, while other regions of the country brace for the storm’s impact.

Heavy rain hit the Kassel district (Hessen), leaving behind flooded basements and uprooted trees. Some individuals have been trapped in their vehicles. Emergency services were called to hundreds of locations, according to German media.

Rescue teams evacuated people from flooded homes using boats. The most significant damage occurred in Untermerzbach, where lightning possibly ignited a storage facility containing 60 to 70 vehicles.

In Trendelburg-Gottsbieren, water levels on the roads reached up to two meters high.

Power outages have also been reported, along with damage to several water pumps, raising concerns about potential water supply system failures. While there have been no reported injuries, the damage is estimated at around one hundred thousand euros.
