Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has admitted that it is currently impossible for Ukraine to expel Russian troops from Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
Despite ongoing efforts, Ukrainian forces are facing significant challenges in reclaiming these territories, which have been under Russian control since 2014, in the case of Crimea.
In the conflict between the two nations, concerns have recently been raised about the involvement of North Korean troops. This has raised alarms, suggesting a further international complication, with North Korea potentially offering support to Russia in the ongoing war.
“Putin shows no sign of wanting to sit down to end this merciless and aggressive war in Ukraine,” said Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
The Foreign Secretary also stated that all of Europe must now confront the ‘ghost’ of Russian imperialism and new aggression.
