Application Opens for Observer Accreditation for February 9 Elections

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has announced that the application period for the accreditation of observers for the Kosovo Assembly elections, scheduled for February 9, 2025, has officially begun. To facilitate the application process, KQZ has launched an online platform: https://vezhgo.kqz-ks.org.

Political entities, local NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental organizations, international organizations focused on elections and human rights protection, media outlets, and representatives of foreign countries are all eligible to submit their observer accreditation requests online.

Key deadlines for observer accreditation:

  • Political entities: January 15, 2025
  • Local NGOs: January 25, 2025
  • Governmental and intergovernmental organizations: January 25, 2025
  • Local and international media: February 4, 2025
  • Representatives of foreign countries: January 25, 2025
  • International organizations: January 25, 2025

Application process:

KQZ has set up the electronic platform https://vezhgo.kqz-ks.org to facilitate the online application process. Accredited political entities will receive “User” credentials via KQZ’s Registration, Certification, and Financial Control Office for Political Entities (ZRCKFSP), enabling them to access the platform and submit observer applications.

For NGOs, government organizations, international entities, media, and foreign representatives, KQZ will also create “User” credentials. Requests for “User” accounts must be submitted to the KQZ office via email at [email protected], including the following details:

  • Organization/media name
  • Authorized representative’s full name
  • Authorized representative’s email address
  • Authorized representative’s contact number

Only observers accredited by KQZ are permitted to monitor the elections for the Kosovo Assembly, which will take place on February 9, 2025, and other activities in the 38 Municipal Counting Centers (QKN) and the Central Counting and Results Center (QNR).
