The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has remembered the massacres of Celina, Fortesa, and Brestoc.
On the 26th anniversary of these massacres, Osmani wrote that in defense of the population, five fighters of the KLA also heroically fell.
“They were killed just because they were Albanians and because they wanted freedom,” the president wrote.
While remembering the martyrs and heroes of the KLA, she said that Kosovo will not stop seeking justice for the victims.
“The pain remains, justice is lacking, but the truth cannot be undone,” she wrote.
The massacres in Celina, Fortesa, and Brestoc in Rahovec occurred one day after the start of NATO’s airstrikes against Serbian targets.
