Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced today that the US sanctions against Serbia’s oil industry have been postponed for another 30 days, according to Gazeta Sinjali.
“We made it! We got another 30-day delay on the sanctions for NIS. Thank you to everyone in Serbia who was involved and thank you to our American partners for their understanding. We have preserved stability and are putting Serbia back on the path to success,” Vučić wrote in his Instagram post.
This is the second time these sanctions have been delayed by about a month.
Previously, on February 26, the United States postponed the previously announced sanctions against Serbia’s oil industry (NIS) due to Russian ownership, and this deadline was set to expire on March 29 at 6 AM.
