An explosion was heard after midnight in the center of Zvecan, near the Post Office building, causing material damage. As a result, many Kosovo Police forces have been deployed in the area since last night, reports Rks News.
The Bomb Disposal Unit intervened at the scene, and for safety reasons, the police have placed barriers to limit access to the building, which is located on the ground floor of a residential building. Additionally, citizens have been asked to avoid approaching the area.
In connection with the incident, the North Region Police provided details, confirming that no one was injured in the explosion, but material damage was caused.
Veton Elshani, Deputy Director of the North Region Police, stated that the windows of part of the building were broken due to the explosion, and the police are continuing their investigation at the scene.
“There are no injuries, the windows of part of the building were broken, but at the moment, we cannot provide further information. The police, with the relevant units, are still at the scene,” said Elshani.
A large number of Kosovo Police officers, accompanied by at least six police vehicles, including an armored vehicle from special units, intervened at the scene of the explosion.
