The President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that he would not recommend anyone attempt to arrest him because he is protected by the police of the Republic of Srpska and well-trained special forces.
“I believe they cannot arrest me. According to the constitution, I am protected by the police of the Republic of Srpska and well-trained special forces, who were recently rewarded in a major international competition in Dubai,” Dodik told the Swiss weekly Weltwoche, as reported by N1, and transmitted by Klan Kosova.
He emphasized that these were the loyal special forces of the Republic of Srpska.
“This is why I wouldn’t recommend anyone from Sarajevo to try it. We will defend ourselves,” Dodik added.
Dodik is the subject of an arrest warrant on charges of seeking secession and violating the constitution.
Bosnian prosecutors have issued an international arrest warrant for him.
