Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine would be willing to discuss territorial concessions as part of peace talks, but only under the condition of a full and unconditional ceasefire.

Speaking to journalists in Kyiv, Zelensky emphasized that such discussions could only take place if there was an agreement on a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire. “A full and unconditional ceasefire opens the possibility to discuss everything,” he said, adding that President Trump’s remarks on the matter were valid. He agreed with Trump that **Ukraine currently lacks the necessary military strength to regain control over the Crimean Peninsula.

Previously, Ukrainian officials had dismissed the possibility of making territorial concessions in exchange for peace with Russia.

In an interview published today in Time magazine, US President Donald Trump reiterated his stance that Crimea would remain with Russia, a position that has drawn international attention and controversy.
