The Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia (POKS) has issued a sharp reaction following claims by Aleksandar Jovičić, a Serbian-American member of the “Serbs for Trump 2024” organization, who alleged that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was caught trying to attend a donor dinner in Florida under a false name.

According to POKS, Vučić attempted to participate in the Bayron Convention using the fake identity “Aleks Vuči,” which, they claim, constitutes a violation of U.S. law, Nova reports.

“The President of Serbia was caught breaking the law and was politely asked to leave the U.S.,” said Vojislav Mihailović, president of POKS and a member of the Serbian Parliament.

He added that the incident has embarrassed not only Serbia but also the Serbian diaspora in the United States and globally.

“This scandal has greatly harmed Serbs in the U.S., who were trying to uncover the truth. It’s also been noted that Donald Trump hasn’t forgotten Vučić’s financial support for Hillary Clinton’s campaign—proof that as long as Vučić leads Serbia, there can be no hope for strong U.S.-Serbia relations,” Mihailović stated.

On Saturday, it was reported that President Vučić returned early from the U.S. due to a decline in his health. RTS reported that he felt unwell during the trip and returned to Belgrade, where he was admitted to the Military Medical Academy (VMA) by former Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar.

The visit had been scheduled as a meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida, but events took a dramatic turn.
